We are delighted to say that the Madeleine Angevine 2014 has won a Bronze Medal in the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards.

Madeleine Angevine is a white wine grape from the Loire Valley in France that is popular in the United Kingdom. The early-ripening grape is a cross between Madeleine Royale and de Malingre grapes a Riesling-type that grows well in cooler climates. Madeleine Angevine makes an attractive fruity wine with a flowery nose, similar to an Alsatian Pinot Blanc. It is crisp and dry, and pairs particularly well with seafoods such as scallops and oysters.

Madeleine Angevine tasting notes:

The nose has a fragrant mix of fruits the palate nectarines, peachy with hints of tropical fruits. Fresh in the middle apple and pink grapefruit an attractive balance of flavours and although rich and ripe at the back the finish is apple fresh with just a hint of mineral.
